Introduction
BeanDo (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “the developer”) takes user privacy protection very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information, as well as the rights you have. Please read carefully.

Local Storage
- All your reminders, tags, and personalized settings are stored locally on your device
- Managed using Apple’s Core Data technology
iCloud Backup
- If you choose to enable iCloud backup, your data will be backed up to your personal iCloud account
- This feature is only used for data backup and cross-device synchronization
Developer Access Restrictions
- We cannot access any of your data, including reminder content, tag information, and personalized settings
- All data exists only on your device and in your personal iCloud account
2. Data Collection Statement
We commit to:
- No Personal Data Collection by Developer: We (the developer) do not actively collect, store, or analyze any of your personal reminder data.
- No Device Information Collection by Developer: We do not collect your device model, operating system version, or device identifiers.
- No Usage Data Statistics: We do not collect your app usage frequency or feature usage.
- No Crash Log Uploads: Out of respect for user privacy, we have not integrated crash reporting features, so no crash logs or diagnostic information are automatically uploaded.
- Third-Party Advertising SDK Data Collection: To sustain the free operation of the application and provide rewarded features (such as rewarded video viewing), the app integrates the Google AdMob SDK, which automatically collects certain non-sensitive device and ad-interaction data (detailed under Section 3 “Information Sharing and Third-Party Integrations”).
We only use your data locally on your device for the following purposes:
1. Providing Core Features
- Store and manage your reminders
- Send local notifications and create alarms for emergency reminders when reminder times expire
2. Personalized Services
- Save your settings to provide a consistent user experience
- Display the app interface according to your preferences
We will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. However, we integrate third-party advertising SDKs and subscription verification services in the app:
- Core Data Localization: All your reminders, tags, and settings data are processed locally and are never shared with any third parties.
- iCloud Privacy: If you use iCloud backup, data is only backed up to your personal iCloud account, following Apple’s iCloud Privacy Policy.
- Third-Party SDK Integration (Google AdMob SDK):
- Provider: Google Inc.
- Data Collected: Device identifiers (e.g. Advertising Identifier IDFA, IDFV), device model, OS version, network and general location information (IP address), ad interaction and impression data.
- Purpose: Serving ads, ad frequency capping, anti-fraud/security auditing, and rewarding completions (Rewarded video ads).

- In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (Apple StoreKit):
We offer premium Pro subscription features. All transaction processes and subscription status verifications are securely handled on-device or directly with Apple App Store servers via StoreKit 2. We do not collect, process, or store any of your credit card details or billing information.

We protect your data through the following methods:
- Local Data Security: All data is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS system security mechanisms
- iCloud Transmission and Storage Encryption: When you enable iCloud backup, data is encrypted by Apple during transmission and storage. You can review Apple’s Privacy Policy for details
- Backup Mechanism: When you enable iCloud backup, your data is automatically backed up to your personal iCloud account to prevent data loss.

Special Note:
- Core App Data (Reminders & Calendar): Since your core reminders and calendar data are stored entirely on your local device and personal iCloud, you can exercise your rights to access, modify, or delete this data directly within the app at any time.
- Ad-Related Data: For data processed by Google AdMob, you can exercise your rights by toggling system settings (such as turning off the “Allow Apps to Request to Track” option in iOS settings) or using Google’s privacy control tools.
6. Specific Provisions for Mainland China
In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (PIPL), we declare:
Data Processing Methods
- All processing of your data (including storage, management, and synchronization) is performed locally on your device.
- When you enable the iCloud backup function, the relevant data is encrypted and backed up between your personal devices via Apple’s iCloud service.
- We (the developer) cannot access any data stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account.
Compliance Commitment
- Strictly abide by the PIPL and relevant laws and regulations.
- Do not collect, store, use, process, transmit, provide, or disclose personal information.
- Protect the personal information rights and interests of users.
7. Device Permissions Explanation
1. Notification Permission
- Purpose: Send reminder alerts to ensure you receive important tasks on time
- Usage Scene: Send local push notifications when set reminder times expire
- Control: You can turn off notification permissions in device “Settings” at any time
2. Calendar Permission
- Purpose: Identify public holidays and adjust workday reminders
- Usage Scene: When you create repeated reminders and select “Workdays Only”, the app reads holiday information from the system calendar to skip holidays and include makeup workdays
- Control: You can turn off calendar permission in device “Settings” at any time
3. iCloud Backup Permission
- Purpose: Back up reminder data and app settings to synchronize data across multiple devices
- Usage Scene: When you use BeanDo on multiple Apple devices, data synchronizes automatically via iCloud
- Control: You can turn off iCloud backup in the app settings at any time
4. Microphone Permission
- Purpose: Used for voice dictation features to quickly create reminders by voice
- Usage Scene: Record voice input temporarily to convert speech to text
- Control: You can turn off microphone permission in device “Settings” at any time
- Data Note: Voice data is only processed for dictation during the action and is never stored or uploaded
5. Speech Recognition Permission
- Purpose: Convert voice inputs to text to generate reminder entries
- Usage Scene: Recognize speech content when voice input is active
- Control: You can turn off speech recognition permission in device “Settings” at any time
- Technical Note: Powered by Apple’s Speech Recognition API. All voice processing is handled on-device (or via Apple’s secure servers); we never upload, store, or access your raw audio data
6. System Alarms Permission (AlarmKit)
- Purpose: Set alarm clocks for high-priority items to guarantee loud and timely alerts
- Usage Scene: Triggered when you enable “Strong Reminder (System Alarm)” for a specific reminder
- Control: You can manage and turn off system alarm permissions in device “Settings” at any time
7. Tracking Permission (App Tracking Transparency)
- Purpose: Obtain the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show ads relevant to you and count ad performance
- Usage Scene: Request permission on first launch or when loading ads
- Control: You can disable tracking for this app in device “Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking”. Disabling tracking does not affect the core functions of the app
8. Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make updates, we will notify you in the App Store version update notes and update the effective date at the beginning of the policy.
We recommend checking this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our privacy practices.
